Check the weather app on your phone (or just step outside!) and you’ll quickly discover winter is slow to come to Florida this year (and almost every other year we can remember!)
Winter Village is a highlight for any Floridians longing for a colder winter.
Enter the Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park. Sponsored by the Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Winter Village features local shops, Christmas music and an outdoor (covered in a nifty Bucs sponsored tent) ice skating rink.
Visitors can skate between November 18 and December 25. Tickets cost $12 for a 90 minutes of skating time. Perhaps the best part, is they are open until 9:00PM or 10:00PM depending on the night, which means there is more time for the Florida sun to disappear and temp
The event is also sponsored by USAmeribank and invites everyone to “Celebrate the holiday season in Downtown Tampa” and according to Allison Manulak visiting the Winter Village is the way to “start the holiday season off right!”
